My weakness: puff pastry. Leave me alone in a room with a puff pastry tart and I can eat the entire thing.
This recipe is one my mum used to make when I was in Italy.
What you need:
- Puff pastry roll
- Red chicory
- Red onion
- Cream cheese with chives
- Cheddar cheese
- Black pepper
Unroll the puff pastry and spread the cream cheese on top. Add the chicory and the onion slices in the centre of the puff pastry.
Sprinkle some cheddar cheese and black pepper on top.
Fold the puff pastry and with a fork make a few holes in the pastry.
Put the calzone in the oven at 180°C for 30 minutes.
Let it cool down for a few minutes before devouring the tasty calzone!
